Hi! I’m Maayan Bergman. I am a second-generation Israeli DJ. My father, Yoram, was one of the first Israeli DJs and the owner of the legendary record store “Panic.” I was born in Rehovot in the 80s into a house where music was always blasting; my father and childhood hero always made sure I was up-to-date on the latest music styles and mixes.

From the moment I first touched a record player as a child, I knew I would continue my father’s legacy. In 2004, I turned that dream into reality by moving to New York to study at the DJ Scratch Academy. That experience changed my life, and ever since, I have been based in Tel Aviv, collaborating with some of the top hip-hop artists in the scene. I am also proud to have won 3rd place in the DMC Scratch Championship.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of performance and technical expertise. I am a lecturer at the Rimon School of Music, where I teach the DJ course, and I actively collaborate with Waves Audio. When I’m not in the studio or the classroom, you can find me behind the decks at Kuli Alma, one of Tel Aviv’s most iconic venues, or performing at festivals like the Desert Bass Festival.

My deep love for music, combined with the professional knowledge I gained throughout my journey, gives me the skills to truly read the crowd — the most important element of any event. I feel honored and excited whenever I have the opportunity to take a musical journey with a couple before their big day, helping them find the perfect, personal fit for their wedding. I also frequently travel to perform at weddings and events for organizations across the United States.

I am proud that my hard work has been recognized, earning me the title of “The Chosen Couple” on the Mit4Mit website for five consecutive years (2017–2021). I specialize in Soul, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, UK Garage, and Drum and Bass mixes, and I work around the globe for all types of alternative events.
